Virtual | teens (14 - 18)

A supportive space for high schoolers (14 - 18) who have been diagnosed with ADHD or are questioning whether they may have ADHD and are struggling with the issues that we’ll address in this group. Learning how to work with your ADHD in an environment where others are learning to do the same can be a life changing experience, and we hope this group will help you get that. Together, we’ll cover time management, accountability, study tips, procrastination, building confidence, and more.

Led by Sophie Smetana Wagner, Master’s Level Counseling Intern.

Join us to connect with others to help calm your mind, quiet the inner critic, and feel less alone. Women who have a history of complex trauma may find this group particularly beneficial.

Breaking the Cycle, Together

A supportive space for women who are adult children of emotionally immature parents. In this group, we’ll explore the difficulties that come with being the child of an emotionally immature parent, set boundaries needed to protect yourself (whether no contact or maintaining relationships with your emotionally immature parents), and learn strategies to take care of your adult self and your inner child. You’ll walk away feeling empowered in knowing that you have always been enough.

Group FAQs

  • In group therapy, you will meet with a small group of people who share something in common with you. That might be your age, some other aspect of your identity (e.g. gender), or shared challenges, like anxiety or ADHD.

    The group will be facilitated by one of our wonderful providers who is there to help guide discussions, share skills, and ensure the safety of the group space is maintained.

  • There are many benefits, including but not limited to:

    • Gaining support and a sense of community in a safe space with people who understand

    • Learning new skills or insights from what others share

    • Improved social and communication skills

    • Lower cost per session than individual therapy

  • Insurances accepted will vary by group; however, generally speaking, groups led by independently licensed therapists (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) accept the following insurances: Advocate Aurora, Aetna, Anthem/BCBS, CCHP, Dean, Optum (United Healthcare, UMR, etc.), and Medicaid.

    Groups led by therapists with their training licenses (LPC-IT, APSW, LMFT-IT) accept the following insurances: Advocate Aurora, Aetna, CCHP, and Medicaid.

    Groups led by interns accept Medicaid (no HMOs) only.

    Some groups may be self-pay only. This will be reflected above in the Cost section of the group description.

  • Yes! Group therapy can be a great addition to your individual therapy work.
