Jordan Brown

Licensed PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR

Licensed therapist in Wauwatosa & online in WI specializing in complex trauma and helping women break free from cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, perfectionism, people pleasing, and difficult relationships with EMDR, IFS, and other approaches.

“I help young women untangle patterns of overthinking, self-doubt, and complex trauma to break free from the past and feel more calm, confident, and connected in the present.”

Being a young woman is not easy.

The seemingly endless responsibilities, unrealistic expectations, comparing to others, and more can lead to new or increased anxiety, a b*tchy inner-critic, stress, and difficulty coping with it all.

Add to that experiencing repeated adverse or traumatic life experiences, like emotional neglect or abuse and growing up with emotionally immature parents, and you have a recipe for long-lasting effects, including overthinking, harsh negative self-talk (there’s that b*tchy inner critic again!), perfectionism, people pleasing, chronic pain or illnesses, and cycles of unhealthy relationships.

But you can overcome these challenges with support!

I’ve experienced the anxiety, perfectionism, people pleasing, and other difficulties that come along with being a young woman, a student, and a professional who had a challenging past. I’ve also been able to work through and manage these difficulties with personal growth work, education, and my own therapy.

With this personal experience, along with professional experience working with others experiencing similar difficulties, I am passionate about offering the support and guidance that will allow you to feel heard and understood and make lasting changes that can help you live more calmly, confidently, and connected moving forward.

I am kind, down to earth, and understanding. I love to laugh, travel, and do outdoor activities (Jamaica and kayaking are my favorites!).

I look forward to meeting you soon!
